Taking the Gospel Across the Street
Immanuel Baptist Church is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples, and demonstrating God's love through compassionate service. We believe our mission begins in our own community and extends throughout South Carolina, North America, and to the ends of the earth. We fulfill this commitment through prayer, generous giving, personal involvement, and strategic partnerships with organizations dedicated to advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

International Missions
We support the work of the International Mission Board (IMB) through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and participate personally in international mission trips in cooperation with the IMB. Through these efforts, we help support missionaries, strengthen churches, train Christian leaders, and share the gospel with people around the world.
Additionally, we support Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan's Purse, by collecting shoebox gifts and serving as an official drop-off location. Through this ministry, we help provide gifts to children around the world while supporting opportunities to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

North American Missions
We partner with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) through our financial support of the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering to advance evangelism, church planting, and missionary efforts throughout North America.
We recognize the tremendous need for gospel witness across the United States and Canada and seek to participate in reaching communities with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.

State Missions
We support missions throughout South Carolina through the Janie Chapman Offering for State Missions. Through this partnership, we help advance evangelism, church planting, community outreach, and other ministries that strengthen churches and reach people with the gospel across our state.
Local Missions
- We believe that our responsibility to share Christ begins in our own community. Immanuel Baptist Church seeks to demonstrate the love of Christ through personal evangelism, compassionate service, and partnerships with local ministries.
- We financially support the Moriah Baptist Association and partner with the association in carrying out local missions projects and outreach initiatives. Through this partnership, we join with other Baptist churches to meet needs, strengthen gospel ministry, and extend the witness of Christ throughout our community.
- We also support local organizations such as HOPE, which provides food and other essential resources to individuals and families in need.
- We believe that meeting physical needs provides meaningful opportunities to demonstrate Christ's compassion and share the hope found in the gospel.
Our Biblical Foundation
- Matthew 28:19–20 — The Great Commission
Jesus commands His church to make disciples of all nations. Missions is not an optional activity of the church but an essential part of our calling as followers of Christ.
- Acts 1:8 — Our Mission Field
We recognize that our mission field includes our neighbors, our community, our state, our nation, and the entire world.
- 2 Corinthians 5:20 — Our Responsibility
Every believer has the privilege and responsibility of representing Jesus Christ and making His message known.
Our Commitment
At Immanuel Baptist Church, we believe missions is not simply a program we support or an offering we collect. Missions is a calling that belongs to every believer and is central to the purpose of our church.
We are committed to being a church that:
Our desire is that every member of Immanuel Baptist Church will recognize his or her personal responsibility in fulfilling the Great Commission.
We are committed to being a church that:
- Prays faithfully for missionaries, unreached people, and opportunities to share the gospel.
- Gives generously to support missions locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally.
- Goes willingly into our community and around the world to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
- Serves compassionately by meeting needs, building relationships, and demonstrating the love of Christ.
Our desire is that every member of Immanuel Baptist Church will recognize his or her personal responsibility in fulfilling the Great Commission.
Our mission is clear:
To reach people with the gospel, grow believers into mature disciples of Jesus Christ,
and send them to serve and share His love across the street and around the world.
and send them to serve and share His love across the street and around the world.
Reach. Grow. Serve. Send.
Across the Street. Across the State. Across the Nation. Around the World.
